The Bear says I Don’t Want To Hear Anything More About The Thuringian Forest Party. TR says, “/Down with the Goethe Monster!” Moose say, “Down with you, too, Bear!” Lou says we will have a Thuringian Forest Party. We will serve Thuringian Foods.
We woke up to sun. Will it last?
Tucson 104/81 Brooklyn 85/74
We woke up at 7:30AM. We got dressed and went to McDonalds for breakfast. We checked out of room 107 at 10:05AM. We climbed for 5 miles towards the tunnel. Our first pit stop was North Somerset Travel Plaza. We got off the turnpike at exit 75, then at exit 57B. Our second pit stop was McDonalds at New Stanton. We also got gas at Exxon. Then we got on 70 W. We’re looking for the exit for 51N. We crossed the Mon River. It’s not very big. We got off at exit 46B to get on 51N. We went through Elizabeth and crossed the Mon River on a bridge. The third pit stop was at the McDonalds at the Century III Mall where we had lunch. Then we followed the directions to the kennel that Christine gave us in June. It was easier coming from the Century III Mall. We got there before 2:00PM. We packed up the pet stuff, signed T-checks, and gave Christine her key chain. Gary met Sabaka in front of the dog kennels. He leaped on everybody, including me. I went inside the house and found Putlitz spitting at me in a metal cage. I rescued him. I saw the UPS man deliver the dog shampoo. I grabbed it. We drove to Strathmore Lane and arrived at 2:26PM. We spent the rest of the afternoon there. We went in the pool and took the dog with us. He was in the basement. Putlitz was in the back room. There were all sorts of other cats wandering around. We had chicken salad for dinner on the back porch. We didn’t leave the house until 7:22PM. Then Gary got lost finding the Holiday Inn Express in West Mifflin. We had to take a detour because the roads were torn up by the gas company. We didn’t arrive at the Holiday Inn until 8:26PM. They wanted a credit card. We checked in for only one night and used up all the rest of the cash I had.
They May Have Raised The Speed Limit On The Pennsylvania Turnpike, But . . . 8/7/12
They may have raised the speed limit on the turnpike from 55 to 65, but most of the time you end up going 55 anyway. There’s too much road construction and too many obstructions to travel at any speed at all. Most of the time you don’t even see men at work, and we’re driving through on a work day. But the barriers are still up. This is the second time we’ve driven through this summer. Both times we see the same barriers and construction signs but no workers. What is going on?
Tomorrow I need to go to Petco. Putlitz has only 50 cans of PPP. That’s enough for only 10 days. I need to buy more. We need to get cat litter and dog treats. We also need a mat for his carrying case and a plastic insert for crunchies. I must go grocery shopping. We should buy water, wings, Pepperoni, snacks, Coke, kleenex, black garbage bags, mouthwash, Dixie cups, and Tide pods. I must also go to the ATM.
Still no contract . . .
