Tell us about your own experiences on any form of public transportation that suddenly and unexpectedly turned dangerous just as Dora’s jaunt on the Morro Castle proved deadly when it burned in September of 1934 and inspired the opening scene of the novel, Salisbury Plot. Have you been on an ocean liner when there was a fire? When it went aground? When you encountered rough seas? Have you been on a jet when it had to land in an emergency? How about an Amtrak train that jumped the track and forced you onto a bus to complete your journey?
