America Goes To War: April 6, 1917:

On April 6 America joined the war effort in Europe which had already been going on for three years. Why did they finally join in when many Americans didn’t want to fight and wanted to remain neutral? The experience that Miss Dora Benley, the heroine of the Cheops Books LLC historical thriller Key to Lawrence: Special Edition, had on the Lusitania was one of the major reasons. Two years before a German U-boat torpedoed the Lusitania, killing over 1000 passengers including many prominent Americans. Vanderbilt and Hubbard were among the missing whose bodies were never recovered and who died that day, May 7, 1915, just off the coast of Queenstown, Ireland. When America sent troops to France under General John J. Pershing one of the battle cries was remember the Lusitania! How this came about is the subject of the novel.
On April 6 Cheops Books LLC will publish the scene in Key to Lawrence: Special Edition when war is declared. Find out what Dora was doing that day and what her thoughts were. Read the Edward Ware Thrillers at War novel Key to Lawrence Special Edition. Join us here on this web page on April 6.
