On The Road Again: Observations By Cheops Books

When Cheops Books looks to be on the road again this summer researching locales for novels, it seems to meet with a more hostile environment than before. Disney may have started a trend where the management of hotels like to invade the rooms of their guest for no particular reason. Also there is a problem with hotels and debit cards. Now in addition to all these woes, we have metal detectors forcing lines to form to get into major attractions. It is not a friendly environment for booking your favorite road trip.

It used to be that Cheops Books could just book a hotel and NOT have to ask questions. Now you need to know if they are going to pre-charge your credit card. Or if they intend to butt into your room every day searching for terrorists with guns behind every pillow and inside every bathroom shower stall. In addition if it is a very popular attraction such as Disney World, the Colosseum in Rome, or the Tower of London, you may be out of luck all together unless you want to stand in line in the sun or rain for a couple of hours. You will have to do your touring online instead of in person.
