Europe Is Just Too Historic For Most Americans:

I don’t think it is just me. It is most Americans. It is one thing to go to Europe and look at historic attractions on a vacation and quite another to live in such a place surrounded by such stuff. Even places in America that rank as pretty historic have nothing like it. When we went to Valley Forge three years ago as soon as we got back from Europe, we were amazed at the contrast with Waterloo. Despite the 200 year celebration in 2015, nothing was in very good condition. However, in Valley Forge the park service had kept up George Washington’s marble triumphal arches as if they were just built yesterday.

Americans in Europe is a favorite theme of Cheops Books LLC. Dora Benley is an American heiress who gets ensnarled in European politics during World War 1 and World War 2 in the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series. If you have not already met her, you can meet her this year in the upcoming historical thrillers Paris Peace Plot and Armistice Plot.
