Crackdown On The Russians:

I am forwarding an article from National Review that Gary read to me last night about the Russians. This says that Cameron when he was PM was trying to get rid of anonymous real estate investments by Russians in London. Then he resigned. The article claims that May has not continued in this direction. The article insists this is why you have so many vacant houses in London — the Russians own them. And these Russians are the Russian elite who have profited under Putin, Putin’s “team” if you will.

The article also says that the former KGB, the Russian intelligence forces, are stronger and bigger than in Soviet times and have become semi-independent of Putin. They act on their own. The article implies that there might be a “rising star” in the intelligence service who might succeed Putin someday or even overthrow him. And the intelligence service was what carried out the Salisbury attack which I deeply resent since we visited Salisbury in 2012.

This joint exercise at the North Pole is exactly what I mean. Do exercises anywhere. As long as you have a show of force the Russians will get it. The Russian navy in particular is no good.

Russia is a main subject in the upcoming Edward Ware Thrillers at War novel Unlocking Trinity.
