Route 66 Postcards:
While you are reading Old Faithful Plot, an Edward Ware Thrillers at War novel soon to be published by Cheops Books, LLC, you should have a copy of Route 66 Postcards by your side to leaf through and admire. It will illustrate for you some outstanding restaurants and motels along the western Route 66 that used to run from Chicago to Los Angeles, California in the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s up until the interstate system took over. Certainly Dora and Edward had to use the road to meet an operative of Winston Churchill at the Stone Tree House in the Petrified Forest just outside Holbrook, Arizona. They were supposed to hand over the much coveted Lawrence maps, key to world domination, and sought after by German spies sent by the newly elected Chancellor of Germany, Adolf Hitler. Looking through this paperback book with detachable postcards you can admire the color postcards for such widely dispersed establishments as the Broadview Motor Court in Springfield, Illinois and the Long Champ Dining Saloon in Amarillo, Texas. You can ooh and aah at the Kimo Indian Theater in Albuquerque, New Mexico and smile at the Wigwam Village number 6 motor court in Holbrook, Arizona almost at the very rendezvous point for Dora and Edward. Look it up. This gem by Michael Wallis and Suzanne Fitzgerald Wallis gives you a vivid idea of what it was like to travel the Mother Road long ago.

America Goes To War: April 6, 1917:
On April 6 America joined the war effort in Europe which had already been going on for three years. Why did they finally join in when many Americans didn’t want to fight and wanted to remain neutral? The experience that Miss Dora Benley, the heroine of the Cheops Books LLC historical thriller Key to Lawrence: Special Edition, had on the Lusitania was one of the major reasons. Two years before a German U-boat torpedoed the Lusitania, killing over 1000 passengers including many prominent Americans. Vanderbilt and Hubbard were among the missing whose bodies were never recovered and who died that day, May 7, 1915, just off the coast of Queenstown, Ireland. When America sent troops to France under General John J. Pershing one of the battle cries was remember the Lusitania! How this came about is the subject of the novel.
On April 6 Cheops Books LLC will publish the scene in Key to Lawrence: Special Edition when war is declared. Find out what Dora was doing that day and what her thoughts were. Read the Edward Ware Thrillers at War novel Key to Lawrence Special Edition. Join us here on this web page on April 6.

In Pursuit of Pliny the Elder: The Port Of Ostia
The modern port city of Citavecchia is far different from the ancient Roman port of Ostia, which is much closer to the city of Rome. On his trips around the Roman World by sea Pliny the Elder would have come to Ostia often. Ostia is an often neglected site among tourists but apparently you can get as good an idea about life in ancient Rome at Ostia as you can in either Rome or the more famous ancient city of Pompeii. Why? No one else goes there! And crowds are prohibitive. It might be easier to imagine the author of the Natural History sailing off here than in more southern ports. He probably left from here to sail off to his governorship in Trier, the administrative center for the province of Germania, or Germany. So you can look for a special scene where Pliny the Elder and his entourage disembark in Ostia to keep their dinner date with the Emperor Tiberius before heading off to his villa along the coast near Herculaneum and Pompeii, which gives it name to the Cheops Books, LLC historical thriller, the Vesuvius Plot.

Cheops Books Projects 2017:
Cheops Books LLC is in the midst of numerous book projects. On May 1 it is going to publish the Salisbury Plot, book 2 of the the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series.
Who is the saboteur following Dora about on the doomed Morro Castle in September of 1934? Who is the terrorist who set fire to the first class writing room on the ocean liner? Who followed Dora and her new husband, Colonel Sir Edward Ware, to Salisbury Cathedral on their wedding day? A creature in a black robe is wielding a sword in the balcony and clanging the bell. The freak seems to summon the legions of the dead who surround them in the hills peppered with bronze age burial mounds, who seem to rise from the cloisters in the center of the cathedral where unknown dead from the Middle Ages still reside. Why does she see her new husband handing money over to the saboteur on her wedding day in a hidden garden of Ware Hall? What does it mean to be married to Colonel Sir Edward Ware? When she finds out the truth it will change Dora’s life forever.
But Cheops Books LLC also has many other projects up its sleeve. Later this year it will published the Old Faithful Plot, still another release in the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series.
While they are hiding out from Dora’s husband at the Old Faithful Lodge in 1933, Dora and Edward are also hiding Lawrence maps that Churchill has given them and which Hitler would do anything to get his hands on. Enter Helga and Herr von Wessel, Hitler’s top spies. They warn Colonel Sir Edward Ware and Dora that either they hand over the top secret maps, key to world domination, or they will blow up Yellowstone National Park. They will turn the famous geyser basin into volcanic rubble – and the rest of America, too, which would be buried in volcanic ash just like Pompeii. And if that doesn’t work they have an even darker plot up their sleeves, one that would change history itself.
In addition there is an upcoming German translation of volume 1 of Captive at the Berghof. We are now publishing it in serial form on the website: http://www.edwardwarethrillers.org. When it is completed it will be released.
Hitler has found out about Colonel Sir Edward Ware’s secret undercover activities for Winston Churchill, and he’s playing hardball. He kidnaps Thomasina, Edward’s daughter, and won’t give the child back unless Edward and his wife, Dora, hand over the key to world domination – the Lawrence maps. They’d better do something fast before Thomasina truly becomes Hitler’s daughter.
So there is much scheduled for summer 2017 and later. Keep following the Cheops Books website’s blog and subscribe to the Edward Ware Thrillers Newsletter.

Dora and Edward Meet A Dinosaur:
Dora and Edward have encountered all sorts of evil forces from Adolf Hitler himself to his secret agents Herr and Helga von Wessel to war itself. But in the Old Faithful Plot, another Edward Ware Thrillers at War novel to be published by Cheops Books LLC later this year, they encounter another kind of enemy all together — a dinosaur.
Now Edward Ware Thrillers at war is an historical novel. It is not fantasy or science fiction. So how is such a claim possible? They must visit northern Arizona to meet Churchill’s spy at the Stone Tree House at the Petrified Forest along Route 66. They are handing over important documents. While searching for the agent, they run into a creature from the Jurassic Period right at their foot, one of only two poinsonous lizards in all of North America — the Gila Monster.
The creature can grow up to two feet long. He is striped pink and black and flicks his tongue as you might expect. He is not an apparition that Dora and Edward want to take lightly or fool around with —- nor Hitler either. The Third Reich must step aside. The Gila Monster has his own secret agenda.

Dora and Edward Take Epic Journey Around The World:
In the early 1920’s shortly after Edward surfaced from hiding from German operatives for two years Dora Benley, now Mrs. Byrne, and Edward Ware are forced to make an unexpected trip around the world — all in the line of duty, of course.
Edward is trysting with Dora at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City where they have decided to meet whenever Edward can get leave from his duties at Mid-East Headquarters in Cairo. They run into a team of German operatives sent by the newly rising star of the German National Socialist Party, Adolf Hitler. Hitler has heard that they carry valuable information and that the former Kaiser was tracking them. Now he is interested, too, in the Lawrence maps, key to world domination.
To escape Dora and Edward take off across the Atlantic on an ocean liner. But when arriving in Britain they can hide only so long at the estate of Winston Churchill, Edward’s confederate in the map plot. They head across the Chanel into France and then west through Germany itself chased by Hitler’s agents. They don’t stop as they head through Easter Europe and Iran and Afghanistan, avoiding Russia which at that point was embroiled in revolution and civil war. They even flee across the Pacific in this epic journey to save the military maps that Edward is sworn to protect.
Cheops Books will publish their trip notes about this journey around the world along with photographs including the journal that Dora kept along the way. This Edward Ware Thrillers at War novel as yet has no title. In fact we will hold a contest where you can suggest one. But we just wanted to give you, the reader, notice that you soon will be able to find it on Amazon Kindle.
