Cheops Books LLC is offering the next young adult thriller novel about Yellowstone as a Kindle Countdown Special from February 9 to February 14, Valentine’s Day. So hurry! Download your copy. This offer will not be repeated this year.
Sheila sleepwalks to the lake next to her house called by the locals the Black Lake. She wakes up standing in the muck at night with a moose staring into her face in the Wyoming back country where she lives. But that isn’t the worst of it. She hears men slogging along through the wet ground. She hides herself in the reeds to watch two goons dump something into the water. She approaches slowly after they are gone. It’s a dead body, the body of a young girl! Is she still dreaming or is this for real? If she closes her eyes, maybe she will wake up safe back in her bed. Anything can happen at Black Lake. Nightmares become real. But she had better figure out what to do next or she will end up in the lake herself.
Originally published in German by Cora Verlag, Black Lake is now brought to you by Edward Ware Thrillers YA, an imprint of Cheops Books, LLC. If you liked Black Lake you will enjoy Linda Cargill’s other young adult thrillers such as Jasper, Dear Diary, Gold Hair, Thorns, and Attic.
Black Lake is truly part of Cheops Books LLC’s Yellowstone collection.

The Cheops Pyramid has always represented Cheops Books LLC. Why? It is a symbol of ancient Egypt and the ancient world in general and it seems mysterious, as if its meaning is always eluding you because there is always something you don’t expect and something you don’t know about, and we hope that our readers will always find our books that way, too.
The Cheops Pyramid is an Old Kingdom Pyramid also called the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Pyramid of Khufu. It is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza complex at 455 feet built of 2.3 million stone blocks. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the only one to still look something the way it did in ancient times. That is the symbol we always put on our book cover.
Now we propose another symbol to add to our website, the ancient Egyptian symbol of Bastet, the cat goddess. We frequently include cats in our thriller novels because cats are elusive and mysterious animals. They were considered sacred in ancient Egypt. They are sacred to Cheops Books, LLC, too. So don’t wonder when you find cats decorating sections of the website and pages in the novels along with the Cheops Pyramid.

Starting tomorrow Moon will be on a special one week promotion on the Cheops Books LLC website: http://www.edwardwarethrillers.org.
Be there with the heroine when she zooms into Yellowstone National Park to live with her grandparents, for her grandmother is a park ranger. She is cursing her latest date, a high society arrangement organized by her scheming parents who are trying to marry Darcy off to their biggest business associate. She thinks in Yellowstone she will be anonymous and hidden, and her parents won’t even know where she has run off to.
But no sooner does she take a dip in a hot spring than she finds a stalker who seems to be after her. Finding out what he is doing there leads to the startling conclusion in this young adult thriller novel that truly takes place under a black moon with howling silver wolves in the background for a spine tingling atmosphere that is uniquely Yellowstone’s and Yellowstone’s alone.
Moon was originally published by Harper Collins Germany as Silver Wolf for young adult readers of its Mystery line.

Ancestress: Still On $.99 Promotion:
From now until Wednesday you can still buy Ancestress for only $.99 and download it on Amazon Kindle. It is on an Amazon Countdown Special until then. It is one of Cheops Books LLC’s Yellowstone thrillers, a young adult mystery suspense novel.
Irene moves with her parents to the wilds of Montana so her parents can work in Yellowstone studying bears and other wild creatures. It is bad enough to be away from her friends in the middle of nowhere. She even gets a weirdo note in the mail from her old boyfriend who did not want her to go that threatens that the bears are going to eat her. But their new house is strange, too. It is full of old portraits on the walls. One of them is particularly compelling. An elegant lady from the nineteenth century with a fancy necklace is starting straight at her. Irene cannot look away. No matter where she goes in the room she cannot escape it. It creeps into her dreams. Is this house haunted? Or did somebody put the portrait there to scare her away? Maybe it wasn’t her former boyfriend after all who had sent the threatening notes about bears. Who doesn’t like her? She had better figure it out, or Irene might end up dead.
Ancestress was originally published in German by Cora Verlag, Harper Collins Germany. It is now brought to you by Edward Ware Thrillers YA, an imprint of Cheops Books, LLC. If you liked Ancestress, you will enjoy other young adult thrillers by Linda Cargill such as Pool, Cave, Shade, Moon, and Snow.
Ancestress will be published as a collection with Cheops Books LLC’s other Yellowstone novels and thrillers soon, including the Edward Ware Thrillers at War title, Old Faithful Plot.

Cheops Books: Thrillers About Volcanoes: Cheops Books LLC has published a young adult thriller novel about volcanoes, Death by Volcano. It is about the Mount St. Helens eruption in Washington state. It is presented from the point of view of a teenage girl who happens to move to the area with her parents and encounters goblins from the past in the shadow of the volcano. The whole area is haunted, and she finds herself getting more than chills and thrills. She almost gets killed, and not by a mere volcano.

This year Cheops Books LLC plans on publishing its second novel about volcanoes, the Old Faithful Plot. Hitler pursues Dora and Edward across the country. He sends his two chief spies, Frau and Herr von Wessel. They are to find the Lawrence maps at any cost and make Dora and Edward give them up — or they threaten to blow up Yellowstone National Park where Dora and Edward are hiding out. Hitler has learned that Yellowstone sits on a supervolcano that could go off at any moment. He figures he knows how to do it, and that would put the US at risk and out of his way.
Volcanoes are a little understood and very threatening natural phenomenon. Dormant volcanoes could start erupting again. Earthquakes could set things in motion. Evil scientific geniuses could exploit volcanoes that already exist. But they do form an exciting background for a thriller.
