Creepy St. Simons Island is the setting with the live oaks with drooping moss and big roots that jut up out of the ground and look three hundred years old. Mosquitoes the size of your fist buzz near your leg and vampire-like drive you back into your car. Alligators with yellow eyes spy you from the nearest swamp, and this is the land of swamps. You won’t be able to find your way around the black water with reeds growing out of it any time soon.
Judy has the creeps. Nothing like this brutal stabbing and strangling has ever happened on St. Simons, a peaceful island off the coast of southeast Georgia. She’s seen such things only on TV. But here it is, staring straight back at her from her iPad!
There’s been an attack on a teenage girl her own age at Dunbar Creek, near Ebo Landing in the swamps. It’s a site often visited by ghost tours because of its ghoulish history. Legend has it that a girl from plantation days often appears with a lantern in hand searching for her lost love.
Whether there’s a ghost or not, Judy has no idea. All she knows is that she’d better figure out what’s really going on. The voice that calls her on her cell phone, the one claiming to be the girl from long ago named Margaret the Wanderer, promises that Judy will be her very next victim.
Mary’s Gone is a young adult thriller published by Edward Ware Thrillers YA, an imprint of Cheops Books, LLC. Stories out of the past. It is one of several novels set on St Simons Island. If you enjoyed this book, you might also like Dark 3 also by Dora Benley.

Will You See Cheops Books In Tarragona This Summer?
See you in Tarragona is hardly what you hear most people saying about their plans for this summer especially if you hail from the USA. But if you happen to be hanging around Barcelona come summer and you are bored with the beach and looking for thrills and chills you might just see a van driving past with staff from Cheops Books headed toward the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Tarragona and its fantastic Roman ruins. Here you don’t just have a building or two, you have a whole ruined city to behold. You can stand in the well-preserved amphitheater and gaze out to sea at the same time just as Romans did thousands of years ago from about 218BC onward through the Middle Ages.
A teenager back in the USA could be looking through the attic in her house and come upon a vase or piece of jewellery from this era and this town of Tarragona, Spain. She could start hearing voices and start seeing ghosts who talk about some cataclysmic event that occurred here a long time ago that haunts them and the heroine still. And this could become a young adult thriller for Edward Ware Thrillers YA.
Pliny the Elder could visit Tarragona on his madcap escape from the Germanic tribes who have his number because of his book, the Germania, criticizing their peoples and their cultural traditions. He could hide among the Spanish peoples forever. It could become a legend and legend only that he disappeared in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79AD in Vesuvius Plot, coming soon from Cheops Books, LLC, another book in the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series.

On the Road Again at the Alcazar

Will you find Cheops Books LLC at the old Moorish Fortress in Cadiz, Spain called the Alcazar come summer? Will you be there? The place has plenty of history to serve as a backdrop to many a tale of adventure and mystery woven around its charming, pink blooming and fragrant bougainvillea plants that are fabled to grow around the fortress and cast charms.
The magical locale might serve as the backdrop for an Edward Ware Thrillers YA tale. Again an American millionaire will buy up the place and transport it to the New World probably in the desert southwest, maybe Arizona. The teenagers will find a genii in a bottle who will cause all sorts of trouble. The tale could feature Arab mythology from the distant past.
Dora and Edward Ware might well come here trying to find a place to hide the much sought after Lawrence maps. in another Edward Ware Thrillers at War novel. Hitler will no doubt be sending his special agents to trip them up and discover where they are hidden. The priceless almost magical maps are reputed to be the key to world domination. Hitler would not care if he had to lay siege to the fortress of the Alcazar to retrieve them which he might have to do in such a tale.
Will Cheops Books LLC show up in southern Spain near the straits of Gibraltar, far from its base in the US? If it was good enough for the Barber of Seville, it is good enough for them. Find out. Enter the contest which started on February 1 and will end on May 1. Win a $25.00 gift certificate from Amazon to stock up on books for wherever you will find yourself.
