Is Germany Going To Build A Fence Like The US?

Is Germany going to build fences along its borders like the US? As in these photos I have attached?

You should see the southern border in the US, and the US is a nation of immigrants where we are used to immigrants. No place in Europe right now resembles it. I last visited the southern border during the previous administration in 2012 BEFORE we went to Europe and BEFORE Trump. There were military helicopters everywhere. There were fences. There were also constant border checks along the highway in the middle of nowhere. I didn’t like it. That’s one reason I haven’t been back that way since.

It was night and day different from when we first drove that direction in the year 2000 pre-9/11. Then we SAW Mexicans wandering around in the desert. I threw somebody a bottle of water.

I am attaching photos I took of the border wall as it existed then. You can actually make out part of the wall. Have you ever seen pictures like this before?

How To End Putin’s Dictatorship:

Frankly I think that is shocking. I would not call Putin and congratulate him on anything right about now. You cannot allow the use of chemical weapons in modern day societies especially in time of peace. That is an absolute all by itself. It has to be dealt with, not ignored. It is the most paranoid piece of news I have heard in a long, long time. In a way it is more fearful than 9/11. It is worse than terrorism. The contamination is invisible and you cannot know how to protect yourself. It can work when bombs are not there at all, killing people silently and even months or years later like nuclear radiation.

There are two ways to end the Putin dictatorship — the fast way and the slow way. You are talking about the slow way, the development of the middle class. The fast way would be to topple the dictator. Of course I don’t see the US taking that on either. They always have to take half measures.

Gary thinks it sounds like a novel, but wouldn’t it be weird if a game or a trick was going on. The British kick out the Russians. They break off diplomatic relations. May cancels Trump’s trip to Britain. At the same time Trump invites Putin to Washington. If I were the Russians I would be suspicious of a trick.

Russia is a subject of the upcoming Cheops Books LLC thriller, Unlocking Trinity.

Trump and Titus the Emperor:

We will have to see what Trump will do.  Frankly last night at dinner we were looking at photos of Trump at the Western Wall in Jerusalem. I looked up Josephus and got out my Titus coin to examine more carefully. The Roman response to Judea in those days was one which I have never seen in my lifetime. I thought I was seeing it on 9/11. But it petered out. WW1 still casts a long shadow. I think that war is still going on as a kind of 100 Years War. One of these days we have to get over it and start remembering Titus and generals like him. He settled the Judea issue for the next 1900 years, almost 2000 years. Don’t kid yourself. Back in ancient times the Jews were acting like the Arabs. They were the same Middle Eastern people. They had constant civil wars and acted fractious. So Rome conquered them. I think it is horrible that the governments nowadays do little or nothing to really end terrorism such as what you just experienced in Manchester. They make speeches and say they are against it. But their reaction says in so many words we just have to put up with it. This is something that the Romans would never have done. Not that I am advocating slavery which is one of the means they used to deal with it. Lots of the Jews were made Roman slaves. But a decisive military response would be in order.

The War on Terror has failed because nobody takes it seriously except George W Bush, and he only had 8 years in office. Besides even George W wasn’t pursuing the War on Terror the way Vespasian or Titus would have. You need to march into the Middle Eastern countries, take over, send in military governors for the next several generations and build modern forms of amphitheaters and baths, build roads, create jobs, etc. That is what the Romans did. That is the only thing that works in the long run. You are not fighting an “idea”. You are fighting a civilization that is way behind the times and needs to get up to date.

Titus appears as an important character in the upcoming Cheops Books, LLC historical thriller, the Vesuvius Plot.

Russia and Unlocking Trinity:

The fate of Russia is almost totally within US hands. Russia knows it too behind the facade it tries to project to its own people. That was why Putin was the first to call Bush after 9/11. Russia is at the bottom of the pecking order in Europe. It is on the outer fringe of civilization where it has been since the Middle Ages, the last buffer against the Far Eastern barbarian hordes who could otherwise have overrun Europe and instead overran only Russia i. e. the Monguls. Russia didn’t have a literature until much later than any other country in Western Europe. It lagged behind to the point that Peter the Great visited the Netherlands as a model. He built St. Petersburg to look more like a European city. To this day St. Petersburg is Russia’s western face. Russia had a serf system that didn’t get abolished until well into the 19th century whereas in England it never fully took hold even in the Middle Ages. For instance you had the famous Magna Carta instead. And in America there never was a serf class at all. In Russia they couldn’t shake the Middle Ages until one hundred years ago this month, the Revolution of 1917, when America was already an industrial giant and Britain’s Empire ruled the waves, having a couple centuries before come up with capitalism itself.
Russia suffered the worst of any country in WW1 and WW2, much worse than the loser, Germany itself. Being at the foot of the West Russia is dependent on the welfare of western civilization and particularly America. If America started to fall, Russia would feel the worst impact.
Not being a democracy Russian leaders can go where they want abroad as long as we don’t challenge them which we don’t tend to do because it would destabilize Russia and Russia would fall and create the sort of chaos that led to WW1. America is hindered in its foreign operations by its isolationism, etc. But when it wants to it now rules the waves with Britain’s assistance.

Russia features as a setting in the historical thriller Unlocking Trinity, about the creation of the atom bomb during WW2. Stalin was spying on the scientists at Los Alamos. Dora and Edward get involved in the Cheops Books LLC Edward Ware Thrillers at War novel Unlocking Trinity.

It sounded very eerie when the papers said “London is under attack” just as if it were World War 1 or World War 2.  It sounded scary, too. Frankly I don’t think it is possible to carry on as normal under such conditions. You might say you are doing so. But in reality measures are being taken. Things are different. The mood and attitude aren’t the same at all. For instance, this London terrorist attack will mean increased security. Homeland Security here keeps on growing apace under every President since Bush. New regulations keep on getting issued for airlines. The latest here is something about no computers or tablets on certain flights. It gets to the point that you will do everything you can to avoid the situation that causes such inconvenience. In other words you won’t fly unless you absolutely can’t avoid it. You might avoid downtown London or New York unless you can’t avoid it again. I remember after 9/11 people said they were going to stop going to shopping malls. Suddenly after 9/11 tourism to places like Yellowstone started to spike instead of trips to cities. Of course it depends on the individual. Some individuals will act as you say and stubbornly insist on carrying on the same schedule terrorism or no. But their numbers get thinner all the time.

I am still confused why countries like Britain and America act the way they do and go after their own citizens instead of foreigners in reaction to terrorist attacks. Romans would NOT have behaved like this. If they knew there was an enemy called ISIS they would have leveled them and wiped them from the face of the earth. They might have taken slaves and the women and children would have been raised in Roman i.e. American/British ways. Not that I like such military activity myself, but at least it spares the native population. I’m beginning to think that the West in the grip of the World War 1 syndrome (which assumes WW2 was just part of WW1). WW1 is the hundred years war that is still going on. They question all their values. They become pacifist, etc. I don’t know when the Great War will ever end. Then maybe you can recognize enemies as enemies and stop imposing on your countrymen and your native populations.

Of course the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series starts with the opening rounds of World War 1 when the Lusitania gets torpedoed in the novel Key to Lawrence Special Edition.
