Unlocking Trinity: A Lesson In The Third Reich:

I refused to watch the movie Downfall. I had somebody watch it for me ahead of time. They summarized it. It was a bunch of tripe compared to the memoirs, a Hollywood dramatization if you will. For instance, they claimed it made Eva Braun look like an alcoholic, which she wasn’t. I didn’t want to bother with it. My friend, Gertrude, in Austria agrees with me on this point.

There was a recorded interview with Tradl Junge in the early 2000’s. That is what I listened to. So did Gertude. After a certain point the interviewer stopped asking questions and just listened as Tradl Junge related her memories of the last days in the Fuhrer Bunker, which was very tragic and beyond horrible. For instance, what happened to the Goebbels children was totally unnecessary. They could have been sent on April 20 with Christa Schroeder when she left Berlin to go back to Bavaria and the Berghof, only to see the Berghof destroyed by bombing. She ended up staying there until the Allies arrived. If the children had gone with her they would have survived, too. They would have been handed over to the Americans, not the Russians as their parents feared.

During the last year when Hitler met with his generals he was not totally alone. The secretaries kept an eye on him from not far away. The door wasn’t shut anymore. I doubt if he met with Himmler when he put him in charge of the Eastern Front. At least would really have to investigate the circumstances. Bormann interfered a lot, for instance with the killing of Rommel when Hitler knew nothing about it. Bormann could have signed the papers that made Himmler in charge of the Eastern Front for instance and made it look as if Hitler had done it.

With the isolation of the Berghof during the last few years of the war and the way Bormann made sure Hitler did not find out what he did not want him to know, I fully believe that Hitler’s secretaries, Eva Braun, Heinz Linge, and Hitler himself knew nothing about the Holocaust. I don’t think most people knew in Germany at the time. It was something going on that Himmler was in charge of. Rommel for instance told his son NOT to join the SS. He had heard “rumors” about what was going on that he couldn’t verify and could not get details about. You see? It wasn’t that easy to find out. Rommel was certainly an objective source by 1944.

Albert Speer, though a friend of Hitler, was never part of the inner circle at the Berghof. He never lived there.

The Ware’s little girl has been kidnapped by Hitler and forced to live with him at the Berghof. But when Hitler commits suicide in his Berlin Bunker on April 30, 1945, what happens to the child who has been indoctrinated as a Nazi, who has forgotten that English is her native language?

Her biological father, General Lord Edward Ware, must defy Eisenhower’s order to leave Berlin to the Russians. He must get to her before Stalin’s henchwoman does. It becomes a race to Trinity in the birth drama of the Cold War.

What To Do About The Bad Russians?

Amazing show of solidarity organized by May and the British — throwing out all those Russian diplomats and Russians who are also spies all over the world in lots of different countries. It looks good on the news. But I wish they could do something of more lasting substance. Owning 20% of a Russian state monopoly can’t do much besides help support the bad guy Russian government. Gazprom and Gazpromneft are gas and oil companies that produce the money for the state to operate on. They would never let Britain decide anything. Maybe Europe should close down all gas stations operated by Russians.

Cheops Books LLC concerns itself with troublesome Russians in the upcoming thriller Unlocking Trinity, an Edward Ware Thrillers at War novel.

Captive at the Berghof: Part 1 in German:

Captive at the Berghof: Part 1 by Dora Benley and published by Cheops Books LLC will bring out a German edition on December 15. Newly translated and released for the first time, this volume represents Cheops Books LLC’s first release in a foreign language of any kind. We thought it was particularly appropriate to publish Captive at the Berghof in German. It is after all about Germany during World War 2 and the lead up during the 1930’s.

Hitler has found out about Colonel Sir Edward Ware’s secret undercover activities for Winston Churchill, and he’s playing hardball. He kidnaps Thomasina, Edward’s daughter, and won’t give the child back unless Edward and his wife, Dora, hand over the key to world domination – the Lawrence maps. They’d better do something fast before Thomasina truly becomes Hitler’s daughter.

Captive at the Berghof was meticulously researched on the ground in Germany by the authors. They visited Nuremberg and climbed the stands where Hitler spoke and where Hitler was photographed by Leni Riefenstahl. They also ate in the current day Burger King which used to be the station where the lights for the arena were controlled. They did not miss the site of the Berghof in the Alps Mountains where Hitler used to spent much of his time.

Tweets And Team Players:

Here are two recent tweets I received on my Twitter page that I don’t look at very often. Here are two recent tweets by Trump:

1)Ed Gillespie will be a great Governor of Virginia. His opponent doesn’t even show up to meetings/work, and will be VERY weak on crime!
2)Ed Gillespie will turn the really bad Virginia economy #’s around, and fast. Strong on crime, he might even save our great statues/heritage!
What is wrong with either one of these tweets?

As far as the leading Republicans go, I am shocked that they don’t act like team players and vote Republican just because Trump is the current Republican President. That is what I said to Senator McCain. Of course in this day and age even real team players such as sports players can’t even pull it together and stand for the national anthem. If it were up to me, I’d fire the lot of them. At least the military has to pull together like a team. Always did. Goes back 1000’s of years.

Colonel Sir Edward Ware was in His Majesty’s Armed Forces. He had to defer to his Prime Minister even though he did not agree with him. In a classic scene of Captive at the Berghof, Edward and his wife, Dora, Lady Ware, are paying a visit to Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain. In 1938 the Prime Minister tells Edward when he is going to visit Hitler at the Berghof that Great Britain wants peace at any cost. Edward says that he will have to remember that —- peace at any cost.

Edward must work underground with Churchill to fight the Nazis until Churchill can become Prime Minister in 1940. Then Edward and his causes can come out into the open during the Second World War. Until then he must be a team player with a stiff upper lip.

The B-Mobile, The New Cheops Books, LLC Van:

On Friday, October 13, the spookiest day of the year, Cheops Books LLC acquired a new van, the B-Mobile, to use on all its ramblings, wanderings, and official business. It replaces the previous Bearmobile that lasted more than eleven years since July of 2006 until this very October.

The previous mobile took Cheops Books LLC and its authors on various expeditions to the shores of Oregon at Brookings, Oregon, the Redwood Coast of California, the Wine Country, and Yosemite. It drove our team to southeast Arizona to visit the town too tough to die, Tombstone, Arizona. It also took us on both our ramblings to Santa Fe, New Mexico where part of the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series is set. Remember the Manhattan Project at nearby Los Alamos? The site of the first atomic bomb explosion was not faraway, and the previous Bearmobile drove us right past it with lots of photo opportunities.

Perhaps most notably the previous Bearmobile took our party of editors, authors, and illustrators to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal to board the Queen Mary 2. And the minivan did it not just once, but twice, last in 2015 just two years ago. That was our route to Europe to research the Edward Ware Thrillers at War especially in Germany and England.

It enabled us to stand in the stands where Hitler addressed his adoring crowds in Nuremberg and took us up into the Alps Mountains to see the site of Hitler’s Berghof, which was important for the novel Captive at the Berghof. In England it enabled us to visit Salisbury Cathedral in the south of England that gave its name to the Edward Ware Thrillers novel, Salisbury Plot by Dora Benley, soon to be published in a brand new edition. And it enabled us one hundred years after the event to sail past the spot of the sinking of the Lusitania off the coast of Ireland, the setting for Key to Lawrence: Special Edition.

Now the new B-Mobile will be the one to guide us through the wilderness and down the interstates to whatever destination is next to appear as the subject of a thriller novel published by us.
