Salisbury Incident:

The American fake news is not at fault here. This Salisbury incident has gotten sparse coverage here just because America is so isolationist and it didn’t happen here. Cheops Books LLC is interested only because we visited Salisbury in 2012 and made it a place of significance in the Edward Ware Thriller Series.

Cheops Books LLC has read that Salisbury is NOT carrying on as normal. It’s tourist trade has taken a big hit. Even people from Great Britain won’t go there let alone tourists from America. This is part of what I am talking about.

Also as to how it spreads, how would you know who was there at the time or who comes from Salisbury if you are a stranger in a strange land? If you are paranoid enough, you would tend to avoid everybody because you don’t know who is who. Also you wonder if these secret Russian agents are still at large. What is their next plan? Are they going after someone else in Great Britain? Who? When? Where? You think you might be unlucky enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The Russians may be claiming they were framed, but that is impossible. Terrorists wouldn’t have access to such materials. The guy was a Russian spy. How many others would know that except the Russians? Cheops Books LLC will agree that it may not have been Putin, but it has to be somebody he knows.

Cheops Books LLC will publish Salisbury Affair by Dora Benley on May 4.

Cheops Books LLC Betrayed By Russians:

Cheops Books LLC is about to publish a novel in the Edward Ware Thriller Series called Salisbury Affair. It is about Dora and Edward’s wedding at Salisbury Cathedral. We are having a Facebook Party on May 4, and the debate is going to be about this subject.

We here at Cheops Books LLC feel betrayed that the Russians attacked Salisbury. It is as if they attacked our novel. That is a place that the author, Dora Benley, has incorporated into the world of the Edward Ware Thrillers at War novels. It is the town closest to Edward’s estate, Ware Hall, the ancestral home of his family that we find out later goes back to Roman times.

Salisbury Cathedral is where Dora and Edward were married. Ware Hall is practically burned to the ground in Captive at the Berghof by Helga and Hitler in September of 1940 during the Blitz, killing Edward’s mother. That is enough of a profanation.

But this chemical weapon of the Russians is far worse. After World War 2, the Wares renovate Ware Hall with Dora’s money. Leopold later completes the job as he reveals in Dark 3: Special Edition. But you cannot renovate what is contaminated by chemical weapons. It is like radiation. It might be there for a long time and you wouldn’t want to visit again. It turns the town of Salisbury, which our tour guide in 2012 called “God’s own country” along with all of Wiltshire, into Love Canal — or even Chernobyl.

Europe Is Just Too Historic For Most Americans:

I don’t think it is just me. It is most Americans. It is one thing to go to Europe and look at historic attractions on a vacation and quite another to live in such a place surrounded by such stuff. Even places in America that rank as pretty historic have nothing like it. When we went to Valley Forge three years ago as soon as we got back from Europe, we were amazed at the contrast with Waterloo. Despite the 200 year celebration in 2015, nothing was in very good condition. However, in Valley Forge the park service had kept up George Washington’s marble triumphal arches as if they were just built yesterday.

Americans in Europe is a favorite theme of Cheops Books LLC. Dora Benley is an American heiress who gets ensnarled in European politics during World War 1 and World War 2 in the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series. If you have not already met her, you can meet her this year in the upcoming historical thrillers Paris Peace Plot and Armistice Plot.

New Book Cover For Old Faithful Plot:

Here we have the new book cover for Old Faithful Plot by Dora Benley published by Cheops Books LLC. It is being unveiled on our website for the very first time. We hope you appreciate the drama and tension in the painting by cover artist Daniel Teran. Dora and Edward find themselves in an odd and unexpected position of driving across a landscape of exploding hot pots in Yellowstone National Park. It is a far cry from the roads that Edward is accustomed to driving in the south of England. Not only Hitler and his spies and henchmen, but the entire landscape seems to have turned against the couple working for Winston Churchill in an attempt to hide the Lawrence maps, key to world domination.

While they are hiding out from Dora’s husband at the Old Faithful Lodge in 1933, Dora and Edward are also hiding Lawrence maps that Churchill has given them and which Hitler would do anything to get his hands on. Enter Helga and Herr von Wessel, Hitler’s top spies. They warn Colonel Sir Edward Ware and Dora that either they hand over the top secret maps, key to world domination, or they will blow up Yellowstone National Park. They will turn the famous geyser basin into volcanic rubble – and the rest of America, too, which would be buried in volcanic ash just like Pompeii. And if that doesn’t work they have an even darker plot up their sleeves, one that would change history itself.

Old Faithful Plot will be published later this year. Look for further details in this blog on this website.

Watch Webcam While Waiting for Book Cover:

We here at Cheops Books LLC have recently mentioned that the cover of Old Faithful Plot by Dora Benley, yet to be released, is “under construction”. It is being redesigned. While you wait to see what it will be like, you can feast your eyes on the Old Faithful webcam instead. It is provided gratis of the National Park Service. In the meantime you can check in to see what the geyser itself it up to right now covered in snow surrounded by an extremely white landscape.

While they are hiding out from Dora’s husband at the Old Faithful Lodge in 1933, Dora and Edward are also hiding Lawrence maps that Churchill has given them and which Hitler would do anything to get his hands on. Hitler’s Chief Spy Will Have Big Ben Behind Her:

Right now the cover for Hitler’s Chief Spy shows Helga von Wessel strutting around defying everyone and showing her stuff in front of a generalized European background. This will soon be changed to London by Cheops Books LLC. Look for it soon.

The villainess, Helga von Wessel, Hitler’s chief spy, struts boldly from page to page of this historical thriller with Europe at her back and all sorts of ambitious notions in her head during the lead up to WW2. As far as she is concerned it isn’t Hitler’s Reich. It is Helga’s Reich. She will wrap the hero, Colonel Sir Edward Ware, Churchill’s spy, around her little finger to prove it. Nor does it matter what Edward’s American wife, Dora, says. Hitler’s Agent is the sixth volume of the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series.

Contest: Who Can Come Up With A Cover For Old Faithful Plot?

Right now as a place holder we have a vintage couple from the time period of the 1930s embracing to serve as a cover for the upcoming alternative history thriller, Old Faithful Plot. But we would like to have a cover that shows something of Yellowstone such as Old Faithful geyser, even if it replaces the current rose on the front cover. Cheops Books LLC is curious to see what you could come up with. The contest will be open until Christmas Day. The results will be announced then on our blog page. The prize will be a free download of one of our ebooks, your choice.

While they are hiding out from Dora’s husband at the Old Faithful Lodge in 1933, Dora and Edward are also hiding Lawrence maps that Churchill has given them and which Hitler would do anything to get his hands on. Captive at the Berghof: Part 1 in German:

Gefangen auf dem Berghof: Teil 1, or Captive at the Berghof: Part 1 by Dora Benley, will be published on December 15 on Amazon Kindle. It is the first German version of a novel that Cheops Books LLC has ever published.

Adolf Hitler threatens Colonel Sir Edward Ware and Dora, Lady Ware, that if they do not hand over the Lawrence maps, key to world domination, he will kidnap their daughter. The late Lawrence of Arabia has drawn these maps for the British military to prepare for the next European War. Hitler guesses this, and wants to tip the scales in favor of Germany instead of England. Churchill, Edward’s best friend, and the Colonel are running their own foreign policy under the noses of first Baldwin and then Neville Chamberlain and the British government. Tension does nothing but build through Nazi rallies, through the Munich Accords in 1938, but does not stop with the first shots fired after the Polish Invasion in 1939. Finally the war itself will be won or lost depending upon what Edward and Dora do next. Will it be their country or their daughter? They must choose.

Captive at the Berghof: Part 1 is book three of the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series

Russian Blackmail at the Ice Palace:

Edward realized in the short time it had taken to finish the ride showing off all the prisons in the Ice Palace, it took just the same amount of time to resort to deviltry. But then, what else would you expect of Helga von Wessel?

Edward turned to his wife to head back to their apartments in the Ice Palace. “Dora?” he said. He looked from side to side. She was nowhere to be found.

“It is easy to get lost in the Ice Palace,” Helga purred cynically. “All you have to do is take one wrong turn —- and you are gone, perhaps for good. We are connected to the great, vast wilderness here. Doors open to the outside at every turn. I do hope Dora has not been caught in a snowstorm.” She laughed.

Edward lunged for her. He took her slim, white, swan’s neck in his hands and backed her up against the wall. He had not touched that vile flesh in years. He made him cringe even now and brought back a flood of unwanted memories from the past and even the long past when he had been her lover. In a flash he recalled lying with her in a field near the gates of the Syrian town of Petra during the Great War. It was on the other side of the world from where he now found himself. And at this distance in time it seemed like a dark fantasy and not very real.

“Touch me,” Helga threatened with a glimmering smile on her face, “and you will risk never seeing your wife again.”

“You have kidnapped her once again, haven’t you?” Edward accused the witch who had often made off with his wife in times past in locales as different as Santa Fe, New Mexico and Southampton, England. She always wanted something, and she wanted it bad.
Helga chortled as he fingered he neck.

“What do you want this time?” he demanded.

“I was wondering when you would ever get around to asking something practical like that!” she eyed him knowingly.

“Answer me!” He shook her hard.

“Churchill and Eisenhower no doubt have certain documents that they share about Kruschev, certain spy documents. I want to see them,” she asserted.

“I don’t have access to such papers. I am no longer a spy. I am retired from the army and have taken up a position as the black rod of the House of Lords,” he confessed the truth.

She smirked. “But your friendship with Churchill goes back a long, long way. I think he will know where to find them and he might sympathize with your plight. At least I do hope so.”

“You bitch!” he exclaimed.

“Also I have heard that since your retirement you still meet with Lawrence in secret. He is still busy drawing maps to defend and attack against the Russians if they should ever decide to attack the west. I want those papers, too,” Helga insisted.

Helga was eternally dangerous and eternally the same like the far side of the moon. He could see why the Cold War with the Russians was really cold.
