Hitler’s Chief Spy Is Hitler’s Agent:

The villainess, Helga von Wessel, Hitler’s chief spy, struts boldly from page to page of this thriller with Europe at her back and all sorts of ambitious notions in her head during the lead up to WW2. As far as she is concerned it isn’t Hitler’s Reich. It is Helga’s Reich. She will wrap the hero, Colonel Sir Edward Ware, Churchill’s spy, around her little finger to prove it. Nor does it matter what Edward’s American wife, Dora, says. Hitler’s Agent, about Hitler’s chief spy, is the sixth volume of the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series. It will be published by Cheops Books LLC on October 15 in a special Kindle Edition of the historical thriller.

Chapter 1 in July of 1935 opens with a passage where the Colonel cannot find his wife:

Edward looked from one end of Hamburg Harbor
to the other, searching for his wife.

“Have you seen Lady Ware?” he asked Brigadier “Wickie” Roberts.
His superior was about to board the Deutschland.
The ship featured the new Hitler turret, which they had
just gotten a chance to review in the parade of ships up
the Elbe River. He and Brigadier Roberts were part of
the British military mission sent to Germany by Prime
Minister Baldwin to celebrate the recent signing of the
Anglo-German Naval Treaty.

The brigadier shrugged. “Not recently.”

“When was the last time you saw Dora?” Edward
pressed.

“Right before the parade of ships. She was in a
heated discussion with Frau von Wessel, you know, the
wife of the Commercial Attaché at the German Embassy
in London.”

The German Chancellor, Adolf Hitler, had been
doing his best to distract Edward with probing questions.
Frau von Wessel, Hitler’s chief spy, was likely after his
wife about the same thing that Hitler was after him for
— the Lawrence maps.

Fall Line Up At Cheops Books LLC:

What new books is Cheops Books LLC publishing in the autumn of 2017? Here is our line up for the new few months from September through December. Every month a new book will appear.

On September 15 Cheops Books LLC will publish the young adult thriller Dark 3: Special Edition including new black and white drawings by artist Andrew. You will be able to see what all the major and a few minor characters look like from good guys to bad guys and villains.
Bianca mourns for her old friend Doc who helped her overcome her fear of the dark after being the only witness to a brutal murder on St. Simons Island. He was driven out of town two years ago when the locals concluded that he must be the killer. She last saw him parachuting from a plane escaping from the law, a fall he couldn’t have survived. She’s moved to California with her employers, the Shipleys, and taken on a permanent babysitting position with Little Katie. Suddenly there’s a kidnapping attempt on the rich little heiress that Bianca is employed to protect. To the rescue comes a tall, dark young man who reminds her of somebody she’s lost. But it just couldn’t be . . . After all, he’s dead. And after all . . . he’s supposed to be the bad guy.

On October 15 Cheops Books LLC will publish Hitler’s Agent, volume six in the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series.

On November 15 Cheops Books LLC will publish Dark: A Trilogy, a collection of three young adult thriller novels in the Dark Series: Dark 1, Dark 2, and Dark 3: Special Edition. Teenager Bianca Winters had no idea what was in store for her in the next few years when she took on a babysitting assignment across the street with Little Katie Shipley. That night her whole life was to change forever as a killer roamed around in the dark upstairs. She had to save the baby while the housekeeper, Mrs. Ingersoll, fell to her death.

In the months that followed the murder, Bianca comes under the wing of her new medical advisor, Doc, who helps her recover from the horrible experience. She falls in love with the young man only to have doubt cast on his motives by circumstances that hint that he himself is the killer. When he goes on the run, she has to still believe in him somehow. How could she love a murderer?

Katie Shipley’s parents move to California and take Bianca with them as her live in babysitter. Bianca thinks that Doc is dead, killed trying to escape from the authorities. But then just as a strange gentleman from England appears and tries to kidnap Little Katie, a young man who reminds her of the one she has lost materializes in her life again. He shows her what has really been going on all these years behind the scenes, why Mrs. Ingersoll was killed, and what the bad guys want with Little Katie. The trilogy ends with the biggest surprise ending of all time.
And finally on December 15 Cheops Books LLC will publish Captive at the Berghof part 1 in German translation, the first such work in a foreign language. This is the third volume of the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series. Hitler has found out about Colonel Sir Edward Ware’s secret undercover activities for Winston Churchill, and he’s playing hardball. He kidnaps Thomasina, Edward’s daughter, and won’t give the child back unless Edward and his wife, Dora, hand over the key to world domination – the Lawrence maps. They’d better do something fast before Thomasina truly becomes Hitler’s daughter.

New Book Trailer for Old Faithful Plot:

Old Faithful Plot, an Edward Ware Thrillers at War novel, has a new book trailer on the Cheops Books LLC website: http://www.edwardwarethrillers.org. Go to the home page, click on Old Faithful Plot, and the book trailer will be staring you in the face with Helga von Wessel, the villainess, simpering at you. Click on the video and enjoy the preview of coming attractions once the novel is published.
The book trailer evokes the feeling of fear and catastrophe that was so emblematic of that year, 1933, when Hitler came to power, FDR made his inaugural speech about the only thing we have to fear is fear itself, and the movie King Kong was raging through the movie theaters. Here a world catastrophe is evoked which we have tried to capture in the music and photos featured in the trailer.
While they are hiding out from Dora’s husband at the Old Faithful Lodge in 1933, Dora and Edward are also hiding Lawrence maps that Churchill has given them and which Hitler would do anything to get his hands on. Enter Helga and Herr von Wessel, Hitler’s top spies. They warn Colonel Sir Edward Ware and Dora that either they hand over the top secret maps, key to world domination, or they will blow up Yellowstone National Park. They will turn the famous geyser basin into volcanic rubble – and the rest of America, too, which would be buried in volcanic ash just like Pompeii. And if that doesn’t work they have an even darker plot up their sleeves, one that would change history itself.

Winston Churchill Makes Debut In Book Trailer for Hitler’s Agent:
Since so much of the subject matter of the Edward Ware Thrillers at War novels has to do with World War 1 and World War 2, we decided to give Winston Churchill a speaking part in the most recent book trailer. Cheops Books LLC has just posted the book trailer for Hitler’s Agent by Dora Benley, book five of the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series, on the website at http://www.edwardwarethrillers.org. The battle between the great orator and MP, Winston Churchill, and Adolf Hitler, Fuhrer and Chancellor of the Third Reich, formed the chief political conflict of twentieth century history. So we let Churchill speak for himself and call Hitler what names he will such as a “monster of iniquity”. It all fits into the drama with Hitler and his chief spy, Helga von Wessel, committing all sorts of atrocities and making life very difficult for Colonel Sir Edward Ware and his wife, Dora, Lady Ware. Nor will Hitler and Helga von Wessel stop until the Wares hand over the Lawrence maps, key to world domination. We will see what Winston Churchill has to say about that.

Helga von Wessel Book Covers: Edward Ware Thrillers at War:
Helga von Wessel will lend her looks and her demonic stare to two upcoming bookcovers in the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series. In October Cheops Books LLC will publish Hitler’s Agent with Helga striding across the book cover. Soon after that Cheops Books LLC will publish Unlocking Trinity about the Manhattan Project will Helga glaring at you on the book cover. She gets around. But that is her chief talent as the most famous Cheops Books LLC villainess of all time.
Helga von Wessel, Hitler’s chief agent or spy, was born a dirt poor Arab near the tiny town of Petra in what is now Jordan and was then Syria in the later years of the nineteenth century. She made her way by marrying an Arab named Mohammed who beat her and threatened her and whom she murdered during the Great War when she was spying for the Kaiser and taking German money. Then she married Herr von Wessel who brought her money and connections to Hitler. She acquired a certain fashion gloss, always wearing the latest Coco Chanel original. But she never forgot that her chief aim in life was to get those Lawrence maps for Hitler and give him the key to world domination. It is all part of what makes Helga such a delightful villainess.

The British Museum In Edward Ware Thrillers:
The British Museum figures in the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series on more than one occasion. It appears as a mysterious place, full of atmosphere and intrigue, and not as a very prim and proper and boring British institution where school kids visit on field trips. The series begins in 1914 when archaeologist Leonard Woolley is conducting a Hittite dig at Carchemish in Turkey. His assistant is a young man by the name of T.E. Lawrence. Edward Ware’s father, Sir Adolphus Ware, is an amateur archaeologist/car magnate and is helping to fund the dig. Edward first becomes enmeshed by the wiles of the spy who was later to become Helga von Wessel during this dig in 1914. She is searching for the Lawrence maps for the Kaiser.
Leonard Woolley helps Edward hide the Lawrence maps in the British Museum near the Rosetta Stone in the historical thriller Map Plot. Later still Dora and Edward return to the famed museum in the thriller Wall Street Swastika. The silent mummies and Greek statues watch them as they slink through the museum at night undetected by human eyes. It is all what helps to make the British Museum part of the Edward Ware Thriller Series.

What Do The Scythians Have To Do With Edward Ware Thrillers?
This morning the British Museum announced a new major exhibition sponsored by British Petroleum and the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia. It concerns the ancient Scythians and is called “Scythian Warriors of Ancient Siberia”. It will open on September 14 and close on January 14 next year.
But what does it have to do with the Edward Ware Thrillers, specifically the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series? As you know in pursuit of hiding the Lawrence maps and conducting the business of the British government during World War 1 and World War 2, Edward and Dora get around. They travel the globe. In the historical thriller Unlocking Trinity where Stalin is spying on the Americans and the British at Los Alamos and Edward and Dora are trying to get their daughter back from Hitler, they both travel to Moscow to meet with the Russian Dictator Stalin. Shall I say more? The Dictator wants to get them out of the way while he cavorts with Hitler’s old spy, Helga von Wessel, now working for him to get him the secrets of Los Alamos. Helga is also trying to give him the Wares’ kidnapped daughter, Thomasina, rescued from Hitler’s clutches only to be given to the Communists. So Stalin sends them to St. Petersburg to the Hermitage Museum. Edward discovers a Scythian bow and arrow and puts it to good use, which is certainly not what either Stalin or Helga von Wessel expected.
Unlocking Trinity by Dora Benley will soon be published by Cheops Books LLC. After all, Herodotus says of the Scythians, “None who attacks them can escape, and none can catch them if they desire not to be found.’ So much is also true of Colonel Sir Edward Ware who might as well be a Scythian.

On What Mediterranean Cruise Would Dora And Edward Sail?
Getting various advertisements for Mediterranean cruises in the email made us wonder what Mediterranean cruise Dora and Edward would have picked. The Mediterranean was not a chief setting for any book in the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series. But Edward and Dora did occasionally visit a port or two.
Edward visited Venice on a spy mission in Map Plot, a soon to be published installment of the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series. He was there in the early 1920’s looking for a letter that Hitler, the rising star of the National Socialist Party in Germany had written to his financial backer, Herr von Wessel, also the husband of Edward’s nemesis, Helga von Wessel.
Again Edward visited Venice and brought Dora along in 1935 in Hitler’s Agent, another installment of the Edward Ware Thrillers at War to be published in October. He had his wife had just rescued their daughter, Thomasina, from Hitler’s clutches. They were fleeing back to England and had to go the long way around since Hitler had the border with France blocked by troops doing “spring maneuvers”. But Hitler sent his friend Mussolini after the Wares, and they had to plot their course to flee Venice.
On the way home from Venice Dora and Edward stop in Gibraltar at the ancient Pillars of Hercules at the entrance to the Mediterranean. Dora recruits some Barbary apes in the cause of fighting Hitler’s agents in a rare light moment.
In the epilogue of Vesuvius Plot Edward, Dora, and Churchill sit at Ware Hall reflecting about Edward’s long ago ancestors who migrated from ancient Rome to Britain and got involved in various adventures. That would necessitate a visit to Citavecchia, the port of Rome.
Tomorrow Cheops Books LLC will pick an actual Mediterranean cruise or two that Dora and Edward might have taken to provide background for their adventures in pursuit of defending the Lawrence maps, key to world domination.

Yellowstone the SuperVolcano Stars In Old Faithful Plot:
There are only three supervolcanoes in the world, and Yellowstone is one of them. The geysers in the park have been erupting more frequently than usual. There have been earthquake tremors all over Wyoming. They could presage the coming eruption of the supervolcano that has not erupted in seventy thousand years.
If the volcano erupts again it will kill an estimated eighty-seven thousand people. It will quickly make two-thirds of the United States uninhabitable. Clouds of ash will block out the sunlight in much of the country. That will start to affect the flora and fauna beneath the dark pall suddenly cast over it. The eruption will be two thousand times as powerful as the 1980 eruption of nearby Mt. St. Helens which managed to throw ash into five Canadian provinces and eleven states. This sounds like the apocalypse.
Hitler saw all this coming. He decided to send his most trust Nazi agents to Yellowstone National Park to see if they could jigger an eruption of Old Faithful. Edward and Dora must prevent him. All this drama forms the subject of the upcoming Old Faithful Plot soon to be published by Cheops Books LLC.
