AUTHORS VISIT THE SOUTH OF ENGLAND ON QUEEN MARY 2 AND RETURN TO THE STATES TO VISIT THE ESTATE OF THE BENLEYS OUTSIDE PHILADELPHIA

Linda and Gary Cargill with their son, Kenny, visited the south of England to research Key to Lawrence Special Edition, the first book in the Edward Ware Thriller series. They sailed on the Queen Mary 2 just as Dora would have if she was traveling in the twenty-first century instead of 1915. They visited the New Forest National Park and Salisbury Cathedral on a shore excursion as you can see below. Salisbury Cathedral is where Dora and Edward Ware got married. The area outside Salisbury is the location of Edward’s ancestral estate, Ware Hall.

On a return trip from Europe in 2015 the authors sailed past the coast of Ireland near Kinsale only a couple of miles from where the Lusitania sank on May 7, 1915. The Queen Mary 2’s captain spoke about the significance of the moment and sounded the ship’s whistle in honor of those who died that day. The coast of Ireland leaps out at you in the photos below.

Upon returning to the States they visited the site of Maywin Farms in the township of King of Prussia outside Philadelphia. Dora visited here while attending Bryn Mawr College after her engagement to Edward.
