Winston Churchill Makes Debut In Book Trailer for Hitler’s Agent:
Since so much of the subject matter of the Edward Ware Thrillers at War novels has to do with World War 1 and World War 2, we decided to give Winston Churchill a speaking part in the most recent book trailer. Cheops Books LLC has just posted the book trailer for Hitler’s Agent by Dora Benley, book five of the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series, on the website at http://www.edwardwarethrillers.org. The battle between the great orator and MP, Winston Churchill, and Adolf Hitler, Fuhrer and Chancellor of the Third Reich, formed the chief political conflict of twentieth century history. So we let Churchill speak for himself and call Hitler what names he will such as a “monster of iniquity”. It all fits into the drama with Hitler and his chief spy, Helga von Wessel, committing all sorts of atrocities and making life very difficult for Colonel Sir Edward Ware and his wife, Dora, Lady Ware. Nor will Hitler and Helga von Wessel stop until the Wares hand over the Lawrence maps, key to world domination. We will see what Winston Churchill has to say about that.

Dora And Edward Should Book A Mediterranean Cruise in 2018:
One year from today on Friday, June 8, 2018 the Queen Victoria sets out on a 14-night Mediterranean cruise that should interest Dora and Edward Ware with all their connections all over Europe. What is better the cruise embarks in Southampton and returns them to Southampton at the end of the cruise so they can easily drive right back to Ware Hall in the south of England or they can drive into London and take up residence at the Savoy at their apartment. The following ports of call are on the itinerary of Mediterranean Highlights: Oporto, Barcelona, Port Mahon, Ajaccio, Citavecchia, Cagliari, and Gibraltar.
Ajaccio should interest them. That is the place on the island of Corsica where Napoleon was born. There is a statue of the Emperor there as well as a house that was in the Bonaparte family until the 1920s. Edward’s great-grandfather served under Wellington at the Battle of Waterloo in the upcoming Cheops Books LLC historical thriller, Inn at the Crossroads.
Citavecchia is the port of Rome. Edward has a big chase scene through all sorts of Italian formal gardens in the historical thriller, Map Plot. He could take a shore excursion to Hadrian’s Villa or the Villa de Este with all its waterfalls.
And finally Gibraltar would always be of interest. In the historical thriller soon to be published by Cheops Books LLC, Hitler’s Agent, Dora and Edward pay a visit to the island of Gibraltar to refuel their yacht. They need to get back to Paris to meet with Winston Churchill at the Ritz Hotel. Dora enlists some local apes to help escape from Hitler and his agents.

Key to Lawrence: Special Edition Will Appear As Audiobook On Website:
Miss Dora Benley survives the sinking of the Lusitania in 1915 to plot her revenge against the Germans with a little unexpected help from Lawrence of Arabia. Key to Lawrence Special Edition is volume one of the Edward Ware Thrillers At War Series. It will soon appear on the Cheops Books LLC website, edwardwarethrillers.org, as an audiobook narrated by one of the authors.
Water rushed into the four, great smoke stacks of the ship as they, too, hit the waves. Tremendous, churning whirlpools sucked victims inside. A few were ejected, blackened with soot. Propellers rose above the maelstrom. The rudder lifted higher than the smoke stacks. The ship’s prow pointed down toward the deep. It looked as if the ship’s nose would hit the sea bed hundreds of feet below. The Lusitania sank in only 18 minutes after being torpedoed on May 7, 1915. Dora Benley vowed revenge on the enemy. Key to Lawrence tracks the beginning of her quest for justice in this special edition of the first volume of the Edward Ware Thrillers At War Series. It commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Great War.
Key to Lawrence is brought to you by Edward Ware Thrillers At War, an imprint of Cheops Books, LLC. If you liked the first volume of the series you might want to try book two, Salisbury Plot, also available on Kindle. The series progresses to the 1930’s with more ominous political developments, particularly the coming to power of Adolf Hitler. Dora Benley, now Lady Ware, meets her foe, Hitler’s chiefest spy.

Helga von Wessel Book Covers: Edward Ware Thrillers at War:
Helga von Wessel will lend her looks and her demonic stare to two upcoming bookcovers in the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series. In October Cheops Books LLC will publish Hitler’s Agent with Helga striding across the book cover. Soon after that Cheops Books LLC will publish Unlocking Trinity about the Manhattan Project will Helga glaring at you on the book cover. She gets around. But that is her chief talent as the most famous Cheops Books LLC villainess of all time.
Helga von Wessel, Hitler’s chief agent or spy, was born a dirt poor Arab near the tiny town of Petra in what is now Jordan and was then Syria in the later years of the nineteenth century. She made her way by marrying an Arab named Mohammed who beat her and threatened her and whom she murdered during the Great War when she was spying for the Kaiser and taking German money. Then she married Herr von Wessel who brought her money and connections to Hitler. She acquired a certain fashion gloss, always wearing the latest Coco Chanel original. But she never forgot that her chief aim in life was to get those Lawrence maps for Hitler and give him the key to world domination. It is all part of what makes Helga such a delightful villainess.

On The Road Again Winners —- Lou and TR Bear
Lou and TR Bear submitted their winning entry for the On The Road Again Contest hosted by Cheops Books LLC. They snapped a photo of themselves cruising along in their car on the newly reconstructed Houghton Road. In the background you will see the Santa Catalina Mountains, the subject of the most recent June issue of Arizona Highways Magazine: Special Collector’s Issue with an illustration of the range on the front cover. They wrote in that they could imagine Dora and Edward cruising along in the same direction headed for Mt. Lemmon, the highest mountain in the range. They could hide out in a cabin at the top at 9,000 feet elevation. How could Helga von Wessel and Adolf Hitler find them there? They might try to smoke them out in the Santa Catalina Mountains especially now that it is summer with one of those runaway wildfires. Helga has been known to do far worse in the service of her Fuhrer. But Dora and Edward are certainly capable of outwitting them in the Santa Catalina Mountains as they continue to hide the Lawrence maps, key to world domination.

On What Mediterranean Cruise Would Dora And Edward Sail?
Getting various advertisements for Mediterranean cruises in the email made us wonder what Mediterranean cruise Dora and Edward would have picked. The Mediterranean was not a chief setting for any book in the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series. But Edward and Dora did occasionally visit a port or two.
Edward visited Venice on a spy mission in Map Plot, a soon to be published installment of the Edward Ware Thrillers at War Series. He was there in the early 1920’s looking for a letter that Hitler, the rising star of the National Socialist Party in Germany had written to his financial backer, Herr von Wessel, also the husband of Edward’s nemesis, Helga von Wessel.
Again Edward visited Venice and brought Dora along in 1935 in Hitler’s Agent, another installment of the Edward Ware Thrillers at War to be published in October. He had his wife had just rescued their daughter, Thomasina, from Hitler’s clutches. They were fleeing back to England and had to go the long way around since Hitler had the border with France blocked by troops doing “spring maneuvers”. But Hitler sent his friend Mussolini after the Wares, and they had to plot their course to flee Venice.
On the way home from Venice Dora and Edward stop in Gibraltar at the ancient Pillars of Hercules at the entrance to the Mediterranean. Dora recruits some Barbary apes in the cause of fighting Hitler’s agents in a rare light moment.
In the epilogue of Vesuvius Plot Edward, Dora, and Churchill sit at Ware Hall reflecting about Edward’s long ago ancestors who migrated from ancient Rome to Britain and got involved in various adventures. That would necessitate a visit to Citavecchia, the port of Rome.
Tomorrow Cheops Books LLC will pick an actual Mediterranean cruise or two that Dora and Edward might have taken to provide background for their adventures in pursuit of defending the Lawrence maps, key to world domination.

Yellowstone the SuperVolcano Stars In Old Faithful Plot:
There are only three supervolcanoes in the world, and Yellowstone is one of them. The geysers in the park have been erupting more frequently than usual. There have been earthquake tremors all over Wyoming. They could presage the coming eruption of the supervolcano that has not erupted in seventy thousand years.
If the volcano erupts again it will kill an estimated eighty-seven thousand people. It will quickly make two-thirds of the United States uninhabitable. Clouds of ash will block out the sunlight in much of the country. That will start to affect the flora and fauna beneath the dark pall suddenly cast over it. The eruption will be two thousand times as powerful as the 1980 eruption of nearby Mt. St. Helens which managed to throw ash into five Canadian provinces and eleven states. This sounds like the apocalypse.
Hitler saw all this coming. He decided to send his most trust Nazi agents to Yellowstone National Park to see if they could jigger an eruption of Old Faithful. Edward and Dora must prevent him. All this drama forms the subject of the upcoming Old Faithful Plot soon to be published by Cheops Books LLC.
While they are hiding out from Dora’s husband at the Old Faithful Lodge in 1933, Dora and Edward are also hiding Lawrence maps that Churchill has given them and which Hitler would do anything to get his hands on. Enter Helga and Herr von Wessel, Hitler’s top spies. They warn Colonel Sir Edward Ware and Dora that either they hand over the top secret maps, key to world domination, or they will blow up Yellowstone National Park. They will turn the famous geyser basin into volcanic rubble – and the rest of America, too, which would be buried in volcanic ash just like Pompeii. And if that doesn’t work they have an even darker plot up their sleeves, one that would change history itself.

Old Faithful Plot: Portal To The Center Of The Earth
Adolf Hitler tears up the Paris Peace Treaty that ended World War 1. He and the National Socialist Party of Germany refuse to pay reparations to France anymore. Germany does not owe them anything for the last war. Hitler wishes that he could change history and make sure that Germany never lost the Great War to begin with.
In fact he deplores the whole scheme of western history where Huns were disliked and thought suspicious. He thinks the name of Germany was taken in vain all too many times. He researches where it all went wrong. He traces it back to 9AD when the Germans expelled the Romans from Germany forever and made them draw a line at the Rhine River by winning the Battle of the Teutonburg Forest. But that did not stop Roman writers such as Pliny the Elder, Pliny the Younger, and Tacitus from penning diatribes against the uncivilized German tribes. Hitler thinks that is an unfair badge of shame that ever since Germany has carried through history.
If only he could travel through time to the source of all this agitation, Pliny the Elder, by far the most influential Latin writer, and shut him up before his works got a chance to be passed down through the generations. True his work the Germania was not to survive to modern times. But it was influential in the past, and he wanted to stop it from being read at all.
He discovers a portal through time in a modern volcanic field and seeks to send his agents, the von Wessels, back into the past to snatch the Germania from Pliny the Elder at the moment of the eruption of Vesuvius since all volcanoes and all volcanic eruptions seem to be linked. Pliny the Elder reputedly died in the eruption, but who knew if historic legends were true? Hitler instructs his agents to make sure that the author of the Natural History and a work on the Germans is dead by assassinating him. Also he instructs the von Wessels to bump off his nephew Pliny the Younger who also defames the Germans and his best friend Tacitus who was to write the Germania which must not survive into modern times. Three in one blow would be the best thing.
Will Hitler succeed in his plot? Find out in the upcoming historical thriller, the Old Faithful Plot, soon to be published by Cheops Books, LLC.
