Great View of the Smokies:
We stayed at the Quality Inn Dandridge twice last summer during our trek back and forth to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. In June the weather was warm and clear so I was able to snap great photos of the Smokies from the parking lot up on a hill while we were taking our Labrador Retriever for a walk. (Yes, the motel is pet-friendly for both dogs and cats). In August it was overcast and cloudy. It rained, and we almost didn’t make it to Cookeville that day. That rainy morning we lingered at the breakfast buffet in the large lobby and helped ourselves to yogurt and rolls with coffee, tea, and orange juice. You could also have enjoyed cold cereal or waffles while the rain poured down.
Tip: Ground floor is closer to the breakfast in the lobby. It’s also more convenient if you bring a dog.
