What Would You Expect Of The Land Of Motels?
Breezewood shouldn’t be there. Breezewood isn’t so much a city of motels as it is a city of traffic. And it’s artificially that way. All you need is an on ramp to get onto the Turnpike from the south or an exit lane to leave the turnpike and go south. But last year on the way back and forth to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal we were stuck there, and ended up staying in the Best Western Plaza Inn. It was an extremely old property. Nothing was up to date, not even the internet. The plugs in the walls were in such non-standard places that I ended up plugging in my camera battery and leaving it there when we checked out the next morning. We had to send for it. It was delivered to our Brooklyn motel the morning we had to board the Queen Mary 2 to leave the country. The best thing about it was the Sheetz next door that we could walk to for breakfast and dinner without entering the traffic snarl that was Breezewood. There was also a Hardees serving ham sandwiches and salads.
