I Got A Peek At The Paintings Hiding Behind Glass Doors: Baroque Museum Salzburg, Austria
Last Saturday, July 21, 2012 we spent the afternoon at the Mirabell Gardens in Salzburg. In order to buy postcards, we stepped into what was thought was an adjacent shop but which turned out to be the gift shop of the Baroque Museum. At least this was open on a Saturday afternoon. Not much else was. Though we were able to pick up an assortment of postcards as a booklet or two, we were unable to communicate with the attendant behind the counter about the admission fee for touring the museum.It amazed me when touring Austria and Germany how much trouble we had communicating the with the locals because we don’t speak German. Fortunately I got a peek at the paintings through the glass doors.
