Not Pet-Friendly Enough: Best Western Lee-Jackson Motel Winchester, VA
We arrived at the Best Western Lee-Jackson Motel in Winchester, Virginia early in the afternoon last August on our way back from the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. Plenty of rooms were vacant. But the front desk assigned us to a room with only one bed when we needed two for our party of three. We insisted on being transferred to a room with two beds. They gave us the smallest room imaginable under an overhang in a dark corridor. What was the problem? The dog and cat, of course. There were only a very limited selection of inferior pet rooms. This is a policy of which I don’t approve. We were being victimized by the front desk. I would never return here, though Bob Evans was next door and there was a dog walking area in the rear.
