Edward’s Mother, the Dowager Lady Ware, Came From Nova Scotia:
Edward’s mother, the Dowager Lady Ware, who has an important presence in the Edward Ware Thriller Series, hailed from the Atlantic Provinces of Canada. (“Nova Scotia” means “New Scotland” so we can assume her ancestors hailed from England’s northern neighbor). She met Edward’s father, Sir Adolphus, on a transatlantic voyage from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Liverpool, which was the port of call in those days. “ They got engaged but when they returned to Ware Hall, the family estate, somebody else was in residence. They claimed that Sir Adolphus was illegitimate, and they were the only rightful descendants from his French grandmother. What is going on here? This mystery will be the subject of another Edward Ware Thriller.
