Prince Hamlet was quite busy despite appearances. In his vast palace there was a storage place underground just off the dungeon that only he and his slain father knew about. He was busy storing his father’s secrets, his maps, and his plans there as he had to battle his uncle as well as Fortinbras, the son of the man that his father had slain. This was one of the secrets he left behind, having given orders to have the storage chamber sealed at his death.
Centuries later Edward and Dora Ware hear about these legends from Churchill who was always researching all sorts of odd details about European history. They think it might be the perfect place to conceal the Lawrence maps to keep them away from Hitler in the 1930’s. But then comes the war. They must rescue the maps or they will belong to the Nazis when they overrun Denmark. And where are they taking the maps? To Stratford upon Avon, of course, to Shakespeare’s town to Anne Hathaway’s Cottage where Churchill has arranged to have them concealed. But will they ever get there? It is a matter of split second timing.
