What does Hitler have to do with the Dragon’s Mouth Geyser and Dragon’s Mouth Spring in Yellowstone National Park? These sulphurous emanations from hell look like they come from the other world, perhaps from hell itself. They look like a portal to times past, perhaps the Middle Ages, perhaps ancient times, perhaps as a way to step through a black hole to another universe. It appeals to his sense of power. He wants to go there and conquer other empires, other worlds. Since there is no other supervolcano on earth like Yellowstone, Hitler sends his agents there to cause trouble for Colonel Sir Edward Ware, Churchill, and their potential American allies in 1933 when he first becomes Chancellor of Germany. The trouble he threatens to cause is twofold. Either he ignites an explosion in the geyser basin that will cause the dormant volcano to explode and bury the United States in ash if Edward doesn’t hand over the Lawrence maps, key to world domination. Or he threatens to send agents back through that sulphurous portal in time to change history itself. It leaves Edward with the most dangerous situation he has ever handled, defending the world as he knows it from total annihilation.
