A teenage girl wakes up in the trunk of a car. Auto mechanics in some small town in the West called Hole are working on it. Everybody is astonished to find her there —- but nobody more than the girl herself. When they ask her who she is and where she comes from, she doesn’t remember. All she has to go by are disjointed scenes in her mind about some sort of play on a stage. Somebody is reciting lines. There is a skull and an open coffin. She can almost hear the lines.
