What are Dora Benley and Edward Ware, the hero and heroine of the Edward Ware Thriller Series, doing in Yellowstone National Park? Their usual haunts are London, the south of England where Ware Hall is located just on the edge of the New Forest, Paris, and the Berghof where they visit Hitler to get back the daughter he kidnapped because they didn’t hand over the Lawrence maps, key to world domination. They have been seen in Santa Fe, next to Los Alamos, when things really heat up, the war is almost over, that atom bomb is ready to go off, and their daughter has been spirited away still again — but Yellowstone? Dora is an elegant world class heiress, right? Camping hardly seems to be her style.
Between the wars in the 1930’s the western parks were the playground of the rich and famous. Where else could Dora and Edward hide from the eyes of Michael back in Pittsburgh? Of course wherever they go Hitler’s chiefest spy, Helga von Wessel, can’t be far behind. When Churchill’s agent hurries to Yellowstone to hand over papers to Edward and then they find the agent floating in the hot springs the next day, they know foul play is afoot.
