We got off the road at exit 109 at the edge of Radford. I didn’t remember this, but we had to drive 2.9 miles to the left off the highway to get to the La Quinta which still advertised the Bistro. We got assigned the same room, suite 110. I’d forgotten the pine-clad parking lot. By the time we had unloaded the car, it was already past 5PM ET. We finally went down to the Bistro and ordered lasagna for dinner. My husband got them to turn off the obnoxious TV set. They gave us extra rolls and butter, but we had to supply our own bottles of water. It wasn’t really a restaurant. It was a food service at the hotel, which isn’t near any other restaurants. I hope there’s a more professional La Quinta touch to breakfast tomorrow. P.S. On the return trip we had an even worse experience at the Bistro. The server took our order. She forgot to make one of the meals I ordered and paid for. When I came to pick up the meals to take them back to our room, I had to place the order again. That created a big delay in eating dinner.
