McDonalds in Van Horn is about the only restaurant available — other than a Wendy’s — that is a nationally recognizable name. We haven’t had any luck with their steak house — see review for Van Horn Cattle Company — and we don’t know what other restaurant in the small town in the West Texas mountains we could trust. An unusual feature of the restaurant is that they fill the drinks for you. They don’t have a serve yourself drink machine like most McDonalds restaurants.
