We pulled up behind the Wellington Museum and had to walk through a shopping center to get there in the rain. There were flags flying out front. Inside it was mobbed. What a disappointment! The gift shop was more interesting than the museum. The museum consisted of one room with a mannequin in costume and guns on the walls. You weren’t even allowed to take photos. Then there was a stairs. We had to proceed one by one since you couldn’t take bags. But it wasn’t worth it. Nothing was labeled. You didn’t know what you were seeing even though it was the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo. I scrambled to buy postcards. It was my one and only chance. There seemed to be a lot of cartoon drawings. I also bought two booklets and two magnets. Then we tromped off to find the Pizza Hut we’d seen coming there. We had lunch and saw a poster of Napoleon at Pizza Hut! They were taking it down, and I took a copy and put it in my souvenir bag. That was far more entertaining than the Wellington Museum.
