You are wowed by the reflecting pond where the face of the rococo palace is displayed on a clear day. The pathways in the garden are lined with trees, bushes, vines, and are planted with begonias. Everywhere you turn is another marble statue. But therein lies the rub. One of these statues kept on looking at me with malicious eyes. It was a she, of course, with a stunning figure she was proud of. But when you examined her she seemed to be only partially human. So she was drawing upon some sort of supernatural power, too, when she levelled her malevolent stare on you. If you let yourself be hypnotized, she might want to keep you here at her side forever to bring her flowers from the garden and wait on her until you, too, grew old enough to turn into stone and join her in her statue garden. It was beauty so gorgeous you had to pay the ultimate price to enjoy it.
