Down Home Food As We Drive Through The Mountains:
Dora and Edward had to worry about how to entertain Ambassador von Ribbentrop at Ware Hall in October of 1936. They had to make sure they had the right number of wine cups. But driving through the mountains of Tennessee, food is much simpler with down home touches. Everything from a trucker’s size ham and cheese omelette for breakfast (which we had to cut in half) to chicken and bacon sandwiches for lunch, chocolate-dipped cones as snacks, and spaghetti with warm breadsticks for dinner bespeaks the Tennessee hills as we zoomed through Nashville and headed for Knoxville.
