So far we’ve encountered bobcats, wild desert pigs, and vultures on our new property. Yesterday morning nibbling on a bush near the vegetable garden I surprised two coyotes. Coyotes are small desert wolves. I feel like blocking off the front patios with an iron gate. Both the bobcats and coyotes appeared in the backyard. The iron gate will be like the wall in King Kong. The villagers wanted to keep out the giant ape and all the dinosaurs in the jungle. My backyard feels like a wild jungle. The coyotes’ appearance inspired us to watch the 1933 version of King Kong.
