What you mean is that I write escapist fiction. That’s what thrillers usually are. The stakes are impossibly high. The world will end unless the hero/heroine defeats the evil force, etc. Edward and Dora don’t defeat Helga &co until the end of the series, of course. But I can assure you that her end is quite spectacular — and of course not very real.
