1937 years ago today at noon time Vesuvius erupted, burying the city of Pompeii under hot ash and destroying the town of Herculaneum with a volcanic pyroclastic flow. This anniversary is all background for the Edward Ware Thrillers novels Old Faithful Plot and Cherusci Plot.
Hitler in 1933 becomes Chancellor of Germany. He wants to change history. He thinks that if he can kill off Pliny the Elder as well as his nephew Pliny the Younger and Pliny the Younger’s best friend Tacitus, he will silence them before they can spread evil rumors throughout history and make Germany look bad. In addition to assassinating them, he wants to get hold of their works called Germania and make sure that they are not passed on to the monks of the Middle Ages. In these works the Plinys and Tacitus cry shame and make Germany look bad for ejecting Rome from their country in 9 AD during the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest. If Germany looks good the country will not become a villain of history and will unify sooner and will win World War 1, putting Hitler in a more commanding position when he starts his career in 1933.
Hitler sends his agents back through a volcanic time tunnel that he discovers at the site of the supervolcano, Yellowstone National Park in America. Can Edward Ware stop him? Will he make it before Hitler blows up not only the park but much of America itself? Find out in the Old Faithful Plot and Cherusci Plot to be published soon by Cheops Books, LLC.
