Bear update: The Bear says We Will March Against The Sea Bears Party. TR says, “That means a caravan.” Moose say, “Makes you sound like a sheik, Bear!” Lou says we will have a TR Conquers The Sea Bears Party. We will serve Seafood.
We woke up to sun. Will it last? It lasted, and the temperature in Lordsburg climbed to 91. It was windy.

We woke up at 5:45AM. We got dressed and ate donuts for breakfast. We finished loading the car. Gary even remembered to push the garbage can out to the street. We left at 9:03 AM, which was decent. We made 7 pit stops, including Petco/Valero gas/Jacks, Rita Ranch Carl’s Jr, the dinosaur McDonalds in Benson, Texas Canyon, lunch at McDonalds in Willcox, Bowie, and the San Simon Rest Area before we crossed the New Mexico state line, arrived in Lordsburg, and checked into room 103 at the Econo Lodge at 2:55PM local mountain daylight time. We lost one hour. Then we unloaded the car, and I got out the laptop. We don’t have any laundry to do today.
It’s sort of like I’m establishing an order of business every day after we get off the road. First I attend to the Bear’s Narration and the Weather Underground and widgets. Next I attend to the receipts and the triptik map. Then I return to my journal to write about what we’ve done so far, including the dog’s and cat’s reactions. Only after that do I get to email. I go through the photos I’ve taken to eliminate the worst ones since photo space is dear. Finally I do my blog and write postcards. I’d hoped to transcribe my road notes, but I don’t have time.

I’ve discovered that it’s going to be easy to overspend. I’ve got to watch the numbers carefully.
Gertrude replied. She wants to meet us.

We woke up at 7:00AM local mountain time. We got dressed and went to Kranberry’s for breakfast. We took out Kenny’s breakfast along with the dog’s. We left the motel at 10:02AM. We stopped at Bowlins Continental Divide, the rest area at Yucca Plains, lunch at McDonalds in Deming, Bowlins at Akela Flats, and the Loves rest area. We checked into the same La Quinta where we stayed twice last September. Gary did laundry. We went to Albertsons to get cat food, kleenex, and toothbrushes. We went to Applebees next door for dinner. Kenny went to the Mesilla Plaza to take a walk. We went to Pik Quik to get gas and a flat of water. The dog and cat took a walk in the parking lot. Kenny gave the dog a bath.
