We See Our Cat’s Name Up In Lights In Germany 9/15/12
On our way from Hamburg to Potsdam on the autobahn we were amazed to see road signs advertising an “ausfahrt” or road exit called Putlitz. Apparently it’s the name of a town in the former East Germany. But it’s also the name of our ruddy Abyssinian cat. We named him after a British spy at Prussia House, the German Embassy, in the 1930’s in London. He was the author of Putlitz’s Dossier. Now we find out that this was probably his hometown in northern Germany.
It was probably our cat’s hometown, too.
