Queen Mary 2 Lost My Postcard 10/12/12
It might sound trivial to complain about but the postcard I wrote on July 11 on my way to Southampton never got delivered to my friend in Austria. I would expect this kind of performance from a hick hotel in a small town in the western or southern USA. But I wouldn’t expect it of the QM2. The ship’s bookstore on deck 8 — which was the only place on the ship that you could buy postcards — charged a fortune for each one. The purser’s desk on deck 2 charged a fortune to frank them and put postage on them. Considering that the card was going to Graz, Austria in Europe and it was being mailed from Southampton, you would think they would get it right.
