A Gothic Christmas 11/14/12:
My Christmas card this year showcases our shore excursion to Salisbury Cathedral in the South of England. It’s the leading Gothic Cathedral in England and the most Gothic place on earth. Estates around there featured the Three Sister Fates in black robes. The New Forest founded by William the Conqueror in 1066 looked like one of the creepiest places I’ve ever seen with burial mounds in hills in the distance and gorse bushes hugging the ground where you could see eyes peeking at you. It could be a wild pony or a deer — or it could be something else far more sinister. The road twisted around bends and went through tunnels formed by alderwood and bolderwood trees hanging over the road. You could never tell what was around the next corner.
