I got a Canon Rebel camera for Christmas and returned it after about a week. I was accustomed to using a Leica digital non-SLR camera for my travels and my everyday needs. And many of the pictures I take seem to occur suddenly such as a roadrunner appearing in front of my car or a sunset right before the sun goes down. I wouldn’t have time to run back to the house and get out my bigger camera.The Canon Rebel, like all SLR’s, has that rapid fire mode where you can take pictures in quick succession. Putting them together looks like a movie. My Leica camera can’t do that. I wish somebody could invent a camera that does both: It’s small enough to fit in your pocket like the Leica and yet can do rapid fire shooting. That would be the ideal camera to own especially when you’re in Europe and you want to take lots of photos at odd times and in rapid fire mode.
