Don’t Leave Home Without Them: Take Them With You In The Car: Prism Plus Junior Legal Pads:
I have taken these junior legal pads with me on innumerable trips over the years. They fit inside a leather notebook made just for them, and I keep it in my purse. When riding down the interstate I write down the odometer readings every morning and every night to determine the mileage for the day. I write down the odometer at the beginning and ending of the trip, too. I never rely on the car to spit out the right mileage. We tried this once in Germany last summer when we were renting a Ford Mondeo, and the kilometers started over again with 0 and 1 before our trip was finished! Any thought that comes to me during the trip, any chore I might have forgotten I write down. Also I observe what’s at important exits in case I come back this way again. Last summer for the first time ever I experimented with using my laptop in the car to take notes instead of using paper. This worked for writing down essays on my thoughts about what I was seeing, but it didn’t work for making notes on fast-changing road signs. Apparently the hand was quicker than the keyboard! So I don’t suppose I’ll be abandoning my junior legal tablets any time soon!
