Edward and Dora Ware met lots of crafty politicians in their time. They had to deal with Hitler. Edward was Churchill’s boon companion. Neither ever met Bill Clinton, the “is” “is” President from the 90’s But today as soon as we took off from the La Quinta in Texarkana and headed up 1-30 towards Little Rock, we found ourselves getting off the road at Hope, birthplace of Bill Clinton. It gave us something to think about as we drove in and out of thunderstorms with the sun out one moment and the windshield wiipers going full speed the next. We ran into a manager of a Western Sizzlin who was trying to panhandle for $3.00 in the parking lot. All sorts of bizarre things were going on. Bill Clinton was still smiling and proclaiming this was where he came from.
