Perkins Family Restaurant, Dandridge, TN
We sat down to order dinner at the Perkins Family Restaurant in Dandridge, Tennessee after a long day traversing the Smokies and I-40. We thought that the chicken pot pie looked good, and we ordered. It came with side salads. We were hungry and dug in, but before I was finished, the waitress snatched my plate away from me without even asking. I had to protest, or my salad would be toast.
You’d think once was enough for one meal. After the waitress served the main course, we were almost done– but not quite! — when she came by and tried the same thing again. This time I had to grab onto the edge of my plate and say, “You need to ask BEFORE you grab.”
The Perkins Family Restaurant didn’t have a salad bar or a buffet so I don’t know why they were so hot to trot about snatching you plate. Just mindless rudeness, I suppose.
