We were in Koblenz, Germany in June. While crossing a bridge, my husband pointed out the Deutsches Eck and its monument down in the river below. I took a video and tried to capture it. My images aren’t the best, but at least you can see I was there. It’s a very significant spot. The Moselle joins the Rhine. From that point on we were to drive along the Moselle all the way to Trier right before you cross the border into Luxembourg. The Rhine is replete with magnificent castles like Marksburg, which we also visited. The Moselle is the most beautiful river and river valley I’ve ever seen with all its vineyards, trees, bushes, flowers, and towns dotting the banks. The word is lush and historical at the same time.
