The religion of the ancient Romans involved a polytheistic pantheon of gods in addition to ancestor worship of the spirits of the dead of the Republic and of the ancestors of the individual Romans. Jupiter ruled the skies. Pluto was the God of the Underworld. Neptune ruled the seas. Behind it all the Three Sister Fates spun the web of destiny which even the gods had to obey. Many of these gods will surface in the upcoming Cheops Books publications, Cherusci Plot and Vesuvius Plot.
