It’s Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas in July at Cracker Barrel New Stanton:
I’d just come ashore three days before. I’d been away a long time. But the last time I looked it was still summer in the USA. Why when I walk into the Cracker Barrel shop at New Stanton do I find it filled with Halloween cards? Thanksgiving plates? Christmas decorations? I would expect to see summer handbags, beach attire, and buckets for the next couple of months. Why do we have to rush the seasons? i guess they think this is what sells. What I noticed was that the other customers were looking at the merchandise that was going to soon be discontinued — the summer stuff. They must feel like me.
