When we entered the Olive Garden Restaurant in Pleasant Hills outside Pittsburgh, the hostess told us that there would be a 5 or 10 minute wait. They didn’t have enough waitresses on duty. I mentioned to the hostess that I was standing not ten feet from a vacant table. But it was hard to make myself heard. The hostess and waitresses were gathered in a ring chatting among themselves. I practically had to shout. Only then was I seated..
Nor was the service very fast after we got to the table. The fettucine took forever. The only thing that was quick was the bill. |
