Dora and Edward had many a cold, dreary, dark day at Ware Hall in the south of England, but in Tennessee? It pelted rain as we drove along I-40 from Memphis to Hurricane Mills. But we knew we were in the Deep South at every rest stop. We saw Confederate flags and mammy memorabilia from plantation days. We started and finished the day with sugar cured ham steaks (not the salty kind). For dinner I enjoyed sweet potato casserole at the Log Cabin Restaurant.
