We were forced to sign an agreement as we checked into the BW Quail Hollow in Benson that was draconian and ridiculous. If we scratched the bathtub we would have to pay $275.00. If we caused anything more than “normal wear and tear to the room” we would be charged an extra $50.00 cleaning fee. The motel insisted on putting a $10.00 shadow on our credit card and wouldn’t let us check in without one. We felt under threat, especially since the motel was already a dump. We feared we would be charged for something a previous guest had done.
