Jackalope is that kind of place where you can find statuettes, statues, ceramic kleenex boxes, birdbaths, pots, prints, and every other kind of Santa Fe bric-a-brac that you can imagine for the lowest prices in town. We visited on a hot day when the temperature was in the 90’s on Friday, July 11. There was no A/C inside the main building, of course. So our time was limited. I had difficulty checking out my ceramic kleenex box. The man who checked out my print wasn’t willing to handle it. When I finally found the right person, he gave me only a bag to wrap it in when he should have given me a box. A couple of days later the clerk at the La Fonda gift shop wrapped my paintings carefully for a premium price. Santa Fe is one big shopping experience.
