Another Inconsistency: The Zeppelin Field Remains, The Ruins Around The Berghof Are Destroyed 10/07/12
In Nuremberg they may not take care of the Zeppelin Field but at least they allow it to stand. But on the Obersalzberg the Berghof and the surrounding houses have been totally eradicated and removed. The only structure that remains is the Kelstein House, the Eagle’s Nest, on top of the mountain which was only minimally associated with Hitler. It was the house he got for his fiftieth birthday but rarely used. The Berghof was bombed in April of 1945, but still part of the structure remained for years after the war. When my husband visited the Obersalzberg in the early 1970’s he saw buildings such as the chauffeur’s garage that still stood. Why all this inconsistency?
