Part 4: Why Do You Think The Ship Lost Your Postcard?
I think the ship lost it simply because it’s the first postcard I’ve ever lost, and this was the first time I’ve ever been on the Queen Mary 2. For years I’ve been mailing postcards internationally by the zillions. My friend in Austria’s been sending them to me. If the mail in all these countries hasn’t lost one yet, why would I believe that they’ve finally lost one now? On the return voyage I was smart enough NOT to take the postcards to the purser’s desk. We waited until we got to Cherry Hill, New Jersey to mail them. Not one was delivered to the wrong person.
