I’m Buying My Souvenir Books On The QM2 Now. We Couldn’t Carry Them Off The Ship 11/29/12
I’m buying Christmas gifts to put on the coffee table. It’s a souvenir of our two transatlantic voyages last summer on the Queen Mary 2 to Hamburg and back to Brooklyn. We sailed July 6 going to Southampton on July 13, Hamburg on July 15, returning on July 25 and docking in Brooklyn August 3. But I wish I could have purchased these books on the ship. I found books like them in the book shop on deck 8. I had to limit what I bought because we couldn’t carry everything off the ship ourselves. And we always had to do self-disembarkation early in the morning when there weren’t any porters to help.
